Hi,
I am seeing the same issue with my IP Geo Location showing up incorrectly.
My IP is: 93.187.16.115
Its located in Dallas, Scoltand, GB
but Sky go is seeing me as out the country.

Posted by a Sky employeeHey @LDS88,
I had one of our back-end test engineers look into this and it was deemed that the IP data being received to us was indeed incorrect, good news is we can add a temporary fix and the data has been updated behind the scenes. Could you check Sky Go now and let me know if it works?
Thanks,

Posted by a Sky employeeHi @LDS88 you've posted on the Glass and Stream board, so is your Glass and Stream working as expected it's just Sky Go you're having an issue with?

Not sure where the confusion is coming from.
lets start over..
1. I'm in my office at work and unable to view sky via SKYGO on a mobile device.
2. my IP is 93.187.16.115 and it shows as its coming out of scotlnd but I am based in London. Our internet is through Masergy.
I am not using Sky Glass in the office and my mobile device works fine at home.

The confusion is coming from the fact your Sky Go question is in the Sky Glass forum.

Whilst we may be on the "Sky Glass" or Streaming forum, this conversation started with someone not being able to view from Skygo for the same reasons.
but the service which i'm viewing from isn't the issue. I would have this issue with all straming services on devices as they would all show up as out side of the EU.
Can we just resolve the issue with the IP Geo Location as it really shouldnt be an issue.

Aside from which an IP apparently in Scotland should be fine anyway even if it's not accurate.
this is all caused I think by us running out of ipv4 address space so blocks that were originally allocated to one place have been split up and sold off. Sooner we all get to ipv6 the better (or stop worrying about national boundaries to access services we've paid for)

@Cho i don't think this has anything to do with ipv4 and the fact that we're running out of them.
Sky have incorrectly listed the Geomloxation of this IP that's punching out of Dallas, Scotland and possibly got it confused with Dallas in the US.
lets not guess at the issue at hand as it will only cause confusion.

Posted by a Sky employeeHey @LDS88,
As much as the message is on the same topic of IP addresses, this isn't the same issue as what we're discussing in this thread as it's isolated to Sky Go whilst you're out of your home network.
Your work network is providing the wrong location and therefor Sky Go believes you are not within the UK, your workplace will need to correct this with Masergy or if it was a home network I would suggest resetting the hub to reset the IP address and hope it will configure correctly.
I'm going to move your posts to it's own thread within the Sky Go board 🙂
Thanks,
