@AndrewWz

Officially Sky doesn't work via a VPN so if you have managed to get it working then fair enough. All we can suggest is to turn it off before starting the Sky Go app and when you are up and running see if the VPN will then work without causing any issues with the app.

I don't have a choice over using a VPN- I work for a company with v high security so I must always connect via a VPN. It does not explain why I have been able to use Sky GO for sevearl years with a VPN until today. I have tried changing server on the VPN - no luck.

Also I seem to be able to get Sky News with the VPN ok but nothing else???

Thanks

It presumably means they've got better at doing what they always attempted to do...

My guess is that because Sky News is distributed on Freeview and Freesat as well as Sky subscription service it isn't subject to the same restrictions.

Looks like I need to give up on Sky.

Thanks for the answer but I can't work without a VPN...

Is it a software vpn ? If so can't you use another device to watch sky go while you work ?
