How to unauthorised people gaining access to Sky Go using old password

I have recently divorced and took on the family Sky subscription. I cahnged my login/password details. However, my ex-Father in Law is still gaining access to my Sky Go using old password. No matter how many times I remove his device from my list of devices and replace it with one of my own, every time he logs in he gets access at the expense of one of my devices. Any ideas how to remove his device for good would be appreciated, thanks.

@NGS123

First change your password (I know you have done this):

https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/

Then go to this link:

https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage

If you tick "Sky Apps" and then the remove button, then anyone using SkyGo or SkyNews or SkySports apps etc. using your credentials will have the previous auth token removed and will be forced to sign in again (using the new password only you know). Will mean people you want to use your ID will need to do the same, but will force whoever is using your previous details off. This might not happen straight away but should do soon enough.

@NGS123 Sign in on the link below to logout on all devices they will then be forced out

https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage

If you tick "Sky Apps" and then the remove button, then anyone using SkyGo or SkyNews or SkySports apps etc. using your credentials will have the previous auth token removed and will be forced to sign in again (using the new password only you know). Will mean people you want to use your ID will need to do the same, but will force whoever is using your previous details off, this might not stop them straight away but it will over a day or so.

How to stop unauthorised people gaining access to my Sky Go.

Hi. Despite changing all my log in details, my ex-Father in Law is still gaining access to my Sky Go using the old email and password. I have repeatedly removed his device from my account but it keeps reappearing every time he logs in and removes one of my devices. I have been on this forum previously, and was given a link to untick a Sky App, which I did - however, I noticed that my Son was asked to log in with the new username and password, but for some reason, my own devices and clearly that of my Father in Law still gain access without being asked to log in - and as said above, my farther in law is still using the old username and passord - any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks.

As well as changing the password you also need to then go to this link:

Re: How to stop unauthorised people gaining access to my Sky Go.

Many thanks for your response @caesarome - you have sent me this link before and I actioned it as you suggested. Strangeley enough however, my Son was asked to sign in with new password, but none of my devices asked for the new password and my ex-Father in Law is still using his ipad on my account. When i have just revisited the manage apps section once again, it did give me the option to remove Sky Apps again so I have actioned this twice now. Do you know of any other way to prevent unauthorised use?? thanks again.

I'm having a similar issue with Sky Go being accessed by two unknown mobiles. I have changed my password and, like the OP, this doesn't appear to affect devices already logged in. The link provided by @caesarome and @SKY1992bf gives a "Unexpected Error" message.

Appears to have worked now. It's forced me to re-login on Sky Go & Sky Sports Apps. Will double check our other family devices tomorrow, but hopefully no more additional mysterious devices 👍

Well I'm at a loss now.

Just checked my Device List and once again an unknown Android Mobile is listed as of yesterday's date. This can only have appeared after carrying out the procedure above at 10.30pm last night. Nobody in our household has used Sky Go since then.

How can another device have gained access?

Hey, everyone 👋🏽

You might have already, but I'd be great if you can ensure you've followed these steps!

It'd be good to know whether or not you're still experiencing the same issue after following those steps.

Thanks 👍🏽

Hi @Samraj

In step 3, I'm not seeing "Do You Have Apps" or "Manage Your Apps"

Interestingly, following these steps to change the password, the password rules (Upper Case, Lower Case and Number) are different to however I changed the password yesterday.
