I keep getting an error saying I'm not in the Uk or ROI but I am

Usually that's because your network connection is using a public IP which isn't registered as being allocated to a UK ISP (or possibly you're on a VPN connection).  Who do you get your broadband from.

In that case try leaving the Hub off for half an hour: that should cause a new IP address to be allocated.

No: public IPs are typically on 60 minute lease times.
