I just signed up to Sky this week. Received my puck yesterday and set everything up. My account was enabled on Tuesday, and I installed the Sky Go app on both my phone and PC to test it. They worked perfectly, showing all the live channels I have with my Sky Essentials package (RTÉ One, BBC One, etc.) and well as Sky Sports, which I have a package for. However, when I went to test it again last night, neither my phone or PC would work. On my phone, when I attempt to watch live TV or an on-demand series, I get a prompt saying "to enjoy this service, please upgrade your subscription", even though I am signed into my account and I have a subscription for these channels. Similar situation on my PC; I get the prompt "You need the relevant Sky TV subcription to watch this show. Code: 1410." The only channels that do work on Sky Go are Sky Sports and Sky News.
When I talked to a Sky customer support member in person this morning, they were confused and said to contact Sky by phone. Via phone, they could also seemingly not fix the problem. One person seemed to suggest I needed to upgrade to Sky Go Extra, however I do not believe I need it. I do not need a second streaming puck and merely want to get Sky Go working on my phone and PC.
