My favourites have disappeared and cannot be edited:
'Can't retrieve favourite channels. Please try again.'
This is not a box or app problem – it's account-based, I think.

Any ideas, please?

I've updated all my mobile apps and tried logging out and back on them. My Sky+ box recognises I'm logged in but won't allow any changes to Favourites.

The Sky+ app is being decommissioned fully in a few months but as you have seen, the favourites feature seems to stop working for some people well before the final date

When decommissioned Sky said the app will still work but some functions will stop, there will be no support for the app so it is to be used at your own risk

Sky have said that Sky Go should be used as a replacement though it does not provide most of the feature of the Sky+ app 😞

So, just another example of the creeping disenfranchisation of Sky+ subscribers. I should have guessed. I've about had it with Sky.
