BBC1 London no longer available on SKY+ app nor is any version of channel 101

I noticed over last weekend that channel 101 was missing from the SKY+ app. I tried reseting everything on the app and reconnecting to my SKY TV box but still nothing. 

Looking through the various regions for BBC1 in the the high 900s channel numbers I could not find the London version.  I also do not have the 801 channel for BBC1 either.  As I still had channel 115 BBC1 HD I didn't worry too much.

On Monday I noticed on my TV box that most BBC1 regions were now in HD but channel 115 was still there too.  I tried again to resent my SKY+ app to pick up London ch101 but nothing.

Today I find out channel 115 has gond too which I guess is due to most regions being HD now, but still I cannot pick up BBC1 London in either HD or SD on the SKY+ app.

I realise that SKY+ app is rather outdated in that it has not been updated since 2016 but I find it still works perfectly for sending recordings back to my TV box when out and about plus you can easily set favourite channels in a list and scroll through easily too from channel to channel and day to day. The SKY GO app is not a clever alternative and I cannot pick up BBC for anything on it as you have to watch BBC channels via Iplayer so sending recordings to my SKY box won't work as I tried that a long time ago.

Please can someone from SKY pick up the issues with the SKY+ app asap.  There are a lot of users who still use it - obvious from the number of posts on here - so unless you are going to make the SKY GO app more user friendly for viewing all channels including BBC and have a favourites option then you need to maintain the SKY+ app for those very features.

Help SKY and give me back BBC1 London on Ch 101!  (I have emailed the app team too so hopefully someone will find a resolution)

A number of other people have posted on here about this so what I suggest doing is checking that you region is set correctly via the settings on the Sky+ app and if it is email the apps team about it - apps@sky.uk

So bit of an update since earlier posting....

So whilst trying the app on another handset, I was able to locate channel 801 which was BBC1 London HD.   When I went back to my other phone I found ch 801 on there too but it wasn't there earlier in the day.  I was able to save in my favourite list so happy days.  However ch 101 still does not appear anywhere no matter which region for BBC1 select.  I am now perhaps thinking that with all the HD updates and the removal of ch 115 which was the old only BBC1 HD version that maybe SKY are pushing through updates gradually so things may be back as expected over hte next few days - you never know!

I will keep a look and see hwat happens but am jsut glas for now that I can actually see the London HD version I was after. 

I addition I checked that sending a recording request from ch 810 on the app does actually transfer to ch 101 on the SKY TV box so at least that works too.

All a bit of a mess with no warning from SKY about any of the changes to forward customers that there may be a bit of disruption with channels on TV and apps but then that would I guess be just too helpful.

What's happened to all my recorded and future recordings on channel 115

You will need to set them up again on Channel 101 on your Sky Box because as of tomorrow 115 will be BBC Three.

I found that anything planned in to record in future on ch115 had gone so you will need to reselect into planner on ch101. Not sure about recordings on ch115 as I had deleted past things so maybe check your sky tv box and see. Hopefully they are ok but if not then maybe check catch up and download anything you want to watch or keep. Comes back to sky not being helpful with any warnings!

As they do each month they do put notices up of channel changes:

It is the BBC who are mking these changes so each region should now see content like local news in HD.

[content removed] Apparently there are "broadcasting issues" according to the lady I managed to speak to and she said that BBC1 (and maybe the others) and going to disappear totally from sky for a bit until they can sort it out - didn't know when this was going to happen and for how long.

Any recordings I had set for BBC on my planner have gone but some of them I have been able to find on catchup to download again.

On the app, BBC London does not exist as a channel any longer but I can see BBC1 if I select BBCLondon / East. This would mean that the if I were to record the regional news (and I don't) it would be Look East and not BBC Lond but the main programme listings are the same. 

On the TV Ch101 is BBCLondonHD, Channel 115 which was BBC1 HD has gone and ch801 is BBC London SD.                   WHAT A MESS!!

Can I ask how you saved 801 to your favourites

I don't think you can do that with the Sky Go app but you can with the Sky+ app.

On the Sky+ app go to Settings > Edit Favourite Channels> Add/Remove and you will then have to scroll through the list and add them.

801 has gone now too. The only way I can see bbc1 on the sky+ app is if I change the region to something other than london
