Apple TV Offer unable to activate as no IOS12 device?

Hi,

I was really happy to be offered Apple TV+ 6 Months free via the Sky VIP app however when I try to activate it I keep getting - you need to upgrade your account or login on IOS12 device.

I do not have an Apple device hence reason thought it was great for Sky to offer a trial.

When I go to APPS on SkyQ I scan the QR code, enter the code on screen and get the same message.

I tried going to website and tried everything. Disappointed now.

Can you please offer any advice?

If you are not using an IOS12 device then you could call Sky to see if they can activate it for you.

Sky Giveaway email you should have receieved from Sky there is a section informing you that you need to create an apple id first.

You use this id to setup your free 6 months of Apple TV+.

I redeemed this offer last year and the outlined procedure does work.

 I did not use the QR code but registered using the Sky supplied website,
