Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

An additional comment in response to the note from BMBowden:

Written was:

  • With no BBC channels on Sky Go app, the only way to record any BBC programme is via the Sky Q remote

My comment is correct.

  • You can use 801 & 802 on SKY Go to send request to your SKY box.

So using the SKY Q remote is not the only way to set up recordings.

Regards.

Southwinds, they are only missing if you have "Watch on iphone " showing at the top. The bbc channels (plus others) are not available to watch on your phone. But if you click on Record to Sky Box they will all show.  That's what this thrtead is about, using the app to set reordings, not about watching live on oyur phone. Hope this helps.

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

I'm sorry but as usual not everyone reads the thread properly.

I have NEVER wanted to watch on iPhone. I only want to program my Sky Q Box to record using SKY Go.

I click on TV Guide --> Record to Sky Box.

101 & 102 state: ...programmes are no longer available. (and, yes, I know I can use 801 & 802 instead).

That's what this thread is about, at least as far as I am concerned.

Put BBC 1 and BBC2 back on 101 & 102 now 101 & 102 are not populated as SD no longer exists.

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

OK, don't know why that would be. I have 801 & 802 listings on my SKy Go.

My SKY Go version is: 24.11 (999114f) in case that helps.

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

Hi. I am the Sky user who started the thread ( apologies to all ). and after 95 posts No.95 from AJH is the original issue I raised but back then it said you had to "upgrade"  to get 101and 102.  It now says " no longer available. "

It's still should be  straightforward to record from the Sky Go app on channel 101 and 102 even as its now HD.
I used to use the facility a lot and miss it now as the endless scrolling to 801/802 makes me forget what I wanted to record. !!
Thanks to all for patience and hope Sky can get the otherwise pretty slick  system back on course soon.

Commenting on my own comment.

Perhaps I miosunderstood. I now realise 801 and 802 don't show up on 'Watch on iPhone' which is perhaps what was meant.

If so, my apologies.

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

I now have a ticket open with SKY Support on this.

Of course, they totally misunderstood the problem and gave me an answer that is less than helpful.

So I am in a discussion with SKY Support (apps@sky.uk in case anyone else wants to raise the topic).

In fact if everyone who i sannoyed by this emailed apps@sky.uk perhaps SKY may sit up and take notice?

@GillWales "The bbc channels (plus others) are not available to watch on your phone."

Sorry if I don't get this but I can watch them on my iPhone.

You can but only if you either:

Connect the app to a Sky Q box of which you need multiscreen on your account or

Install and use the BBC iplayer app on your iphone.

Thank you for your email

I wish to inform you that if BBC 1 HD is not 101 for you then look from 951 onwards for it and for BBC 2 HD if it isn't on 102 then look at 802 for it.

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - February 2024

Could you please advise why BBC1 &BBC2 HD channels no longer appear on the Sky Go TV Guide ? With the demise of the previously very useful Sky plus app also now showing no TV Guide to programmes , How can I remotely set programmes to record without knowing / being able to access B1 / 2 ? Very inconvenient

@Qawsed  Your post has been merged to this existing thread discussing the same question, on Sky Go  The TV Guide/Channels update thread isn't the correct place for this.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
