Could you please advise why BBC1 &BBC2 HD channels no longer appear on the Sky Go TV Guide ?

As customers we have answered this previously, to set recordings from BBC 1 and BBC 2 if they do not appear at 101 and 102 have a look at 801 and 802 and 951 onwards.

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - February 2024

I can do that on my Sky Q box although very inconvenient, however my question was about how to set a recording remotely. 801/2 do not appear on my Sky Go App, & as of yesterday there is no channel info available at all on the unsupported Sky + App. Bizarrely B1 HD did appear on the Skyplus App at the top whereas B2 was 802......

Re: BBC Channels no longer listed on Sky Go or Sky TV Guide

Hi It would be great if this could be expedited as being able to remotely set recordings on Sky Go or ideally the former Sky + App are a key advantage of my subscription, & Im sure together with many others, that B1 / 2 are frequently watched Thank you

You have answered your own question - the Sky+ app is unsupported so to set remote recordings you need to use the Sky Go app where the channels can be found as previously advised.

Re: BBC Channels no longer listed on Sky Go or Sky TV Guide

But they are not - no 801 or 802 showing sadly on Sky Go

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

As has been mentioned previously, have you selected:

TV Guide --> Record to Sky Box

This is at the top of the screen.

If not, that'll be the most likely reason you can't find 801/802.

Re: BBC Channels no longer listed on Sky Go or Sky TV Guide

In my opinion this is only partially solved.

It is solved in that(BBC1 & BBC2 show up on 101 & 102 respectively, but ONLY IF your mobile device e.g. iPhone, is on the same network as the Sky-Box.

My expectation (as elaborated to SKY Support) is that I could be anywhere in the World and if I make a request via my Sky Go APP to 101 or 102 I should be able to set up a recording on my Sky-Q box.

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

This is not solved at all.

My original comment that started this thread still stands:

On the Sky Go app channels 101 - 105 should be the HD versions of those channels, as they are on the Sky Q EPG. Sky are choosing not to do that because, unlike the TV EPG, they are not bound by Ofcom rules to do so, so they are keeping 101 - 105 as SD as it in their commercial interests to do so.

All that changed at the beginning of this month is that BBC One and Two stopped broadcasting in SD, hence 101 and 102 on Sky Go are empty.

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

If you check now, IF you are connected (your device to SKY box) you will find 101 & 102 show BBC1 HD and BBC2 HD).

@KevNewMedia do you know if there is a solution on the horizon?

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

@AJH I think this is only the case if you have multi-screen; I don't, hence 101 and 102 have no listings for me in Sky Go.

Re: All BBC channels no longer listed in Sky Go

I've got to add that this is not good form from Sky. BBC SD switch off has been scheduled for a long time, long enough for Sky to update their Sky Go app to display the HD BBC Channels at their correct positions and not 801 etc.
Since switch off us non multi-screen users are in the same position i.e. "programmes no longer available message". This is not good for a service that we pay for and often cited as one of the many benefits from Sky when they increase subsription rates!
As a comparison I also have a Freesat box in the house and guess what? Their app TV guide shows the correct channel listing i.e. BBC 1 HD on 101, BBC2 HD on 102, ITV1 HD on 103 etc.
Not sure why Sky finds it so difficult to set-up their Sky Go app TV Guide to show the correct channels at the right position including regional variations.
