Hi,
I've just downloaded the my sky app on IOS. When I try to log in I get the message "an unknown error has occured"
My login and password works fine on the web site.

I had the same thing on the My Sky app and the My Sky web page BUT from the same web page there is a second login further down (just above the bills and payments section) which does work as it goes to a different URL. I did have a call with Sky to log it but after that I realised the issue myself.
My password contained a percent sign '%'. When I changed the password to not include a percent (or an ampersand), then the login works. So basically the issue is just a dodgy bit of encoding in the web page.
So if you do have the 'unknown error' message on the MySky login for the app or web page maybe check the characters in your password so there are no ones which are special to HTML like percent, ampersand, etc.

Yep, same here. Worked fine up until a few days ago, and still works on the website. Just the MySky app which reports "An unknown error has occurred"...

Same issue here too, app does not work on new phone.
Old phone where it was working (Android), no longer works after logging out, get the same error now as on new phone where it never worked (iOS) when attempting to log in.

Got an error when trying to login so I installed then reinstalled the my sky app. When I load the app it initially sits at loafing your details then eventually goes to let's get you connected. I login with my user name and password (which works fine on the website) and just receive the error "Unknown error please try again"

I cannot log into either the app or website, the same 'unknown error' message appears.

Same problem here - I can log in to web site fine, but whenever I try to log in to the My Sky app, I get the "An unknown error has occurred" message - every time.

Same here. Error on logging on to the MySky app
now I am finding that if I click sign in on the website upper right. I get same error. I have to dig through the site to find an older logon prompt which works.

To those affected.....Sky have been no help at all, but I have managed to resolve the issue myself.
Go to a desktop browser and go to the login page, BUT instead of logging in - click the link to reset your password. Once you've got the reset password email, follow the link to change your password.
After doing this myself, both the website and the SkyGo app now work fine.
Hope this helps others...
