I have followed all the suggested steps, nothing else other than finder and sky go is open (as I cannot close sky go) and I've uninstalled the app and re-installed it. Restarted my computer, etc, etc, etc, etc. Can someone from the sky team tell me what I'm meant to do next as this is incredibly fustraighting.

Is the Snipping Tool open if so try closing it.

I'm having exactly the same issue. Closed ALL apps on my MacBook Air but continue to get the same error i.e. you appear to be running software capable of video capture....
I believe this is an issue with the SKY app that the SKY team NEED to resolve asap!

Thanks for the reply caesarome - I came across this 'Diagnostic Flow' page during my previous PFE 9903 error search. I only have 3 of the programmes listed but I'm guessing the point is moot as I closed ALL apps anyway before starting the Sky Go app.
I'm really at a loss as to why this error appears...

I was having the same problem - Sky Go stopped working and I got the 9903 message, even if it was the only thing I seemed to be running. So here's what I did.
I went to my applications folder and switched on QuickTime and then Quit it.
I went to the Activity Monitor and searched for QuickTime and it was there, so I clicked the little cross in the top right to stop the 'process' QuickTime vanished from the list.
Opened Sky Go App and it worked!
I think that some people think that because it's not open in the dock that it's not running (that's what I thought). But find it in Activity Monitor and shut it down and see if it works for you.

The links supplied by caesarome have worked for people with this error. I would say I've also seen people closing a process called NML2NDeviceObserver related to a Vodafone dongle having success as well.
