Initialisation failed to complete in a timely manner.

Windows 10.
Re-installation doesn't fix it. 
"Connecting your application. Initialisation failed to complete in a timely manner."
 
HELP please.

I installed under a new windows profile and it worked which is why I new there must be stuff left over after uninstalling from the original windows profile. Simply uninstalling and re-installing didn't work. It only worked after removing the 'sky go' folder after uninstalling.

 

This is all after ensuring that my firewall wasn't blocking either application.

Same problem - update applied then won't start but gives this error. Reinstall didn't fix

Been on text to Support all day. Still not fixed. They don't know when the next release will go out with a fix. Deleting file folders for Sky and Cisco videoguard did not work.

 

Happens far too regularly with Skygo. Do they have UAT ???

Hi,

Sky go was working ok til a few days ago when it suddenly crashed. On reopening it checked for updates and the carried out an update. Since then I have been getting the same messages.

Yep, exactly the same here. And they've no idea when the fix will be.

Yes, thanks for letting me know.

I'm continuously having issues with the app. The response is generally the same whenever I look up the issues.

The same is happening to me for a few days now and I thought it was to do with my memory running low so I cleared a lot and then thought it was my laptop needing updating but that has not worked either! but now seeing this, I realise its an issue with the app...... not happy at all!!

Not happy either as for the last 6 months I've had nothing but problems from the app. We pay for this service and shouldn't be left to guess at how to fix it. Such poor customer service from Sky. Tired of it.

hey guys,

 

Try un-installing 'Sky Go' and possibly 'Cisco Videoguard Player', deleting the folder: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sky Go (where <username> is your computer account name), then re-installing the application. 

 

Worked for me!

Deleting folder and reinstalling worked for me.

Something to try:

 

Can you guys try this:

 

1. Complete uninstall of Sky Go & VideoGuard (including all files & folders).

2. Go to website and SAVE installer (don't run from website)

3. Go to Downloads folder, Right click on Installer and Run as Admin

sky go now won't work

Ive done update on my imac , now sky go wont work it keeps coming up saying   (initialisation failed to complete in a timeliy manner ) any help ?
