Trying to set up Sky Go on laptop. Is any particular browser recommended. Does it not work with any particular browser?

Re: Best browser for Sky Go?

Hi @tysilio2

The only supported browser is Internet Explorer version 11 although it is possible to get it working on Google Chrome by running it via the IE Tab add-on.

Re: Best browser for Sky Go?

Sky Go no longer requires nor does it work on a browser.  It is a stand alone app.

Re: Best browser for Sky Go?

I'm confused. I phoned Sky and they said that Sky Go should work on Internet Explorer version 11 on my laptop, but it no longer works (it worked fine before). Most live programmes do not have a play button, just a record button. When there is a play button and I press it, it tells me to download the Sky Go app to watch the programme.

That's correct - Sky Go isn't available via a browser any more. You need to download the Sky Go app and use that instead.

Re: Best browser for Sky Go?

Thank you. That is what I thought. It would be useful for Sky advisers to know that as they told me it was still available via a web browser.
