Re: now I've unsubscribed, why can't I use freeview
so respectfully after your reply about not being Freeview and sky or having too, they have listen to all of us, put FREEVIEW on to the menu for everyone to use (including the Freeview players that all Freeview certified devices get for using Freeview) and now we have a t man so we can watch it with out all the fuss of turning off the WiFi. I'll take that as a win. have a nice day SIR

Re: now I've unsubscribed, why can't I use freeview
Cannot believe people have been conned into buying sky glass or even subscribe to them to watch tv.
a zillion channels of repeats, cheaper subscriptions direct for Netflix, discovery etc, sports much cheaper on now tv and no contracts.
sky own channels are very poor for the price.
freeview can be watched on old sky plus or sky q equipment without viewing cards.
Sky broadband is massively overpriced.
I was paying a stupid price for junk service.
now have full fibre 1gb, Netflix premium, Amazon prime and run two full hd boxes as freeview from dish that has a wideband lnb - had one box, £25 for another off eBay and pay less than a quarter of what I was paying sky!

Re: now I've unsubscribed, why can't I use freeview
Just for absolute clarity (and to be a pendant):
Freeview is a brand name for DTT EPG delivered by an aerial. Freesat is a brand name for a satellite EPG.
You cannot get Freeview via satellite you can either get Freesat or a number of free to air channels via sky's kit.
But yes. I've got several Freely (EPG via IP/Internet) devices for my holiday home, and will be considering my options when my contract is up (as I always do), as with a number of channels closures (outside sky's control), I feel sky need to do more to increase the value proposition of Glass and Stream. Virgin for example have added a number of FAST channels etc, and Sky feels like it's stagnated somewhat.
