Waiting for broadband. Trying to set up to watch sky on my phone.

I'm waiting for Jan 9th for my briadband to be set up but am able to watch on my mobile Apparantly. However when I try to set up on the tv it asks to be set up on Wi-Fi. I thought you could watch on your mobile without doing all this. Someone please help. Now got to spend Christmas without TV. Thanks 🙏

You will need to have a pretty high or unlimited data package if you will be watching a Glass TV via a mobile.

What you need to do is setup a wifi hotspot on your mobile and connect to the wifi credentials that the  wifi hotspot offers.

Mobile broadband offerings that use 4g and 5g via a dedicated mobile broadband router work fine with something  like Sky Glass/Stream.

But a mobile connection using a mobile phone and as described above using a hotspot ( a fine temporary measure)  will be a lot more temperamental and not provide as reliable a signal for more regular or constant viewing.

Are you trying to use Sky GO on your mobile phone?

once your order has completed you can watch sky via the sky go app on your mobile until you get your internet connected 

some users have been able to use their mobile as a WiFi hotspot to connect to their sky device but you will need to be aware of data use (as mentioned above) and also the speed and data transfer limitations of using mobile data
