The rookie season 8 eps 7

It plays normally up until 17 minutes in then the screen goes black and doesn't show any image for the rest of the episode, I've tried a hard reset, starting the programme again etc, not sure why it's not working

The rookie Season 8 episode 7 not showing on sky glass

The newest episode of the rookie isn't showing on my sky glass TV, but it is available to watch on my mobile device through my sky go app. Am I missing something? Can't understand why I can't watch it on my sky glass tv.

Hi @Tristan1997 It would appear to be something specific to your setup as episode 7 is showing in my playlist as well as continue watching rail.

 

If you have not already done so follow the restart procedure to reboot your puck.  This can be done by going to settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Restart device.  It takes a couple of minutes to completely reboot and you will have a blank screen for a while before the Sky logo appears.

 

Hopefully it will resolve your issue but if not send an email to Vietwr Relations at viewerR@sky.uk giving them details of the issue.

Thanks for your reply @Fothergill1.. Unfortunately I have already tried this.. and have just now retried it to the same result.. I will send an email and hopefully can get the issue sorted. Bit confusing as to why I can watch it on my sky go app but not my sky glass TV. Thanks for your advice.

@Tristan1997 Sky Witness is a strange channel and often throws up this kind of issue. Both the Chicago and FBI programmes often suffer from missing episodes.

 

 I have just tried Series 8 episode 7 of the Rookie from my continue watching rail and it worked correctly but I notice it says the programme is 90 minutes long which is incorrect.  Again, this is another common issue and is currently showing the same with "Doc" series 2 on my setup.

I watched this episode earlier this week.

Just rechecked my playlist and can see and play the episode in UHD along with the HD version in All formats.

 

Not sure what else to suggest another settings restart as mentioned above.

Disappeared on both my pucks too. Had been available earlier in week, but wasn't there on Thursday when sat down to watch

@AP_ I have been on to sky, and received an email reply.

 

They stated that the reason it isn't showing on my tv is they have uploaded it as UHD only. This explains why it's on my skygo. They have assured me they've now highlighted the issue and are working on a fix to get it uploaded as HD.

Hi @Tristan1997  That's interesting.  My TV upscales so well I didn't bother with the UHD addon yet S8:E7 of The Rookie played perfectly when I watched it a few days ago. I have just checked my playlist and it is showing HD and not UHD.

I'm not quite sure why it's not on some and available on others.

 

Here is the email I have received from sky.

 

 

"Thank you very much for taking the time to contact us about the Sky Witness series 'The Rookie'.

 

I have checked this on Sky Glass and I can see the latest episode is available. However, it's only available in UHD. I've now raised this with our support teams to investigate, and we hope to have the HD version

on the service as well as quickly as possible."

 

Hopefully they fix the issue soon.

It re-appeared for us again last night. Albeit it didn't have the usual skips ads markers in place, but all watched now haha

Hi there the same thing is happening on my sky puck too I am trying to watch the rookie but hasn't appeared yet it keeps saying that it will be oit on a different day but never is. I see that you were able to watch it yesterday but I wasn't able too is there something you did to the tv?

No i done nothing, just appeared last night. Try restarting your puck.
