Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

And, just to show that some of the other bugs haven’t been fixed by this new firmware rollout, I’ve just been watching a show using the “watch from the start” option and, guess what? At a commercial break, the playback froze. I’ve had to hit the “back” button to get out of that and I've lost the show completely.

Sky Glass: the gift that keeps on giving.

Yep. We have had our software update. Plus I did a reset but watching the football on TNT and the lip sync issue is still there.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

@Mark39 Based on my experience, it hasn't fixed anything - I've had to change channel three times already while watching the footy on TNT.

The point I was trying to make is that Sky Glass is full of bugs and it delivers a level of service far below what any reasonable individual would expect, given what Sky charges a month for it.

Here's an idea for Sky if they're bothering to read any of this: every time my Sky Glass loses lip sync and I have to flip channels to get it back, you pay me £1. That seems reasonable to me. I hope that's ok with you, because I'll be able to retire very comfortably by the end of next week if you go along with it.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

I called them Wednesday told them it was not fit for purpose & breaking sales of goods act & I would cancel my broadband & phone as well as their contracts run out end of feb - they cancelled it straight away & took it back today - back to a Sony for me - lesson learned.

It didn't fix anything for me, because I hadn't experienced any lip/sync issues., but I completely acknowledge that it must be very irritating for those who do. SImilarly my Glass isn't full of bugs and works pretty reliably from day to day. Quite why some customers have a bad time with Glass while others (the majority?) don't, is something I don't understand.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

End of September I emailed my 4th complaint in with a video of the issue about 10 days ago hit called Wednesday the TV was picked up today - I pointed out if I bought any TV or electrical appliance from Currys & in 4 months it constantly didn't work I could take it back - TBH I think they coupled with sales of goods act & me saying I'd cancel the lot they got fed up of me.

Had exactly same problem at 9.00, occurred at the end of the ad break following a stutter at "trust a trader"

(removed)

I had a call scheduled yesterday to discuss it and they have taken some more notes and put it on my account file.  They did briefly mention a gesture of goodwill a couple of times once a proper resolution has been found.
I've had the software update but it still happening (same at 9pm as other last night).
