Sky glass will no longer turn on, red light appears.

My Sky glass tv picture disappeared but still had sound, tried to reboot it but now only get a red pulsing light on the front, TV is only 3 years old, phoned sky and told to replace TV but would have to pay over £600, why would I buy another Sky glass again, looks like best option cancel Sky package and buy another brand TV.
