For your remote control issue you need to follow the help flow in this guide (https://www.sky.com/help/articles/remote-control-help-sky-glass) , and if appropriate you will be prompted to complete a form to request a replacement remote. You may not be aware but there is also a mobile app that can be used as the remote control for Glass and Stream. https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-TV/Sky-Glass-and-Sky-Stream-Remote-App/ba-p/5150285
For the issues with the ads on ITV X, trying restarting the Glass as a reboot usually solves this issue.
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.
Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.
