Sky glass or other options

Hi there, experts!

so we are considering a glass tv. However, I've read that the tv is heavy and this would be going on an internal wall so not exactly the best for weight.

we have sky q, and 2 further boxes in our home currently.

is glass the best option or is there another setup which would suit best? I'm open to options, but home tech isn't my strong suit so it's all a little confusing and I just don't want to make a poor choice.

your experiences would help me greatly!

@Zth  Unless you need a new TV why not look at Sky stream instead?  Stream TV Shows, Movies & Live Sports with Sky Stream

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

We definitely need an extra tv which is why we were considering it. But certainly open to learn about sky stream? I haven't heard of this before!

Look  at  sky glass air tv  it's  thinner  and lighter, you can compare the weights  and the sizes  on the sky website, hope this helps, also bear in mind two other  things  firstly  if you get a sky glass  tv  you will  need a new subscription, as 30 days after activation  you will  have  to send all your  sky q  equipment  back, also if you do get sky glass tv  you will need the pucks to replace  your  sky mini boxes that you have, any recordings  you have on the  sky q equipment  will be lost  and will not be transferred, only films you have purchased  on sky store will be transferred  to your  new subscription, and also the first month payment  of the sky stream you will have your last sky q  subscription  payment  aswell to pay in the same month  Sky don't  tell you about that, i  have had my 55inch sky glass gen 1 since  November 2021 and in the December  of that year i  had two  payments  come out 1 which  I was not expecting  hope this helps  you

Sky Glass Air is lighter than the Gen 2, (though personally I wouldn't put any TV on the wall, much prefer a stand). If you want a one box solution then Glass is ideal. But if you don't mind an extra box, then look to purchase another TV and connect that to the Stream Puck. Exactly the same experience, but should work out cheaper.

You also will need a good  strong  wifi connection  or be able  to connect the the to the broadband  router  with  an ethernet cable, the minimum  speed per tv is for hd channel viewing  25mps  and for uhd channel viewing  35mps, the tv's  and the pucks only receives  sky through  the Internet  not a satellite  dish, the sky glass gen 2 tv's  have 7 speakers built-in to the tv which why they are so heavy  no need for a sound  bar, the sky glass air tv  only  has 2 speakers and is thinner  than the sky glass  tv

@Zth

The major attractions of Glass and Air are the generous finance period and having 'Sky built-in'.  If those aren't crucial then at any of the Sky price points there are undoubtedly 'better' television sets available to use with a Stream puck.
