Sky glass Netflix logged to wrong account

My sky glass TV is logged into my ex partners account for Netflix and I cannot access it to log it out.

I have my own Netflix account now with my sky glass but it can't link to my tv.

I have tried speaking to Netflix and they said they need a code which can only be gained by logging in, which I can't do.

I spoke to sky 5 weeks ago and they said they are sending a link to Netflix but nothing has come of it. I'm sick of asking Sky now and being told the back office is dealing with it.

is there any other way to get the old account off my tv so I can use Netflix again.

Hi @Neil.sss

Sky are only responsible for the billing side of things and not credential management side of things. The official advice from sky is that if you have linked the wrong account you need netflix to unlink it.

See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/apps-on-sky-q-and-glass-using-netflix

I understand that it was correctly linked previously. But not fully sure what you are asking here?

Do you want the old account unlinked so you can link to sky for billing? Or do you need to log out of netflix and sign in or both?

You can sign out on glass by going > profile pic > get help > log out.

Re: Sky glass Netflix logged to wrong account

Hi

thank you for your reply. I need to unlink the old account from my glass so I can link the Netflix I get through sky. But I can't log in to the Netflix because it's saying it's not part of the household.

Do you know the username and password for the account? If so you could log on to the website and logout of netflix on all devices.

I have exactly the same issue. I contacted Netflix who said they can't sort & to contact Sky. Neither company will take responsibility or seem to know how to resolve the issue. I just keep getting passed back & forth & charged for my Netflix subscription - utterly useless!

@ABC76 Whatever Netflix support says, its not possible for Sky to unlink a Netflix account as the linking is done from the Netflix end ( this is because the linking causes a change in the billing of your Netflix account), so ultimately you have to continue trying with Netflix customer services until you get hold on an agent that actually knows how to resolve the situation.
