Re: Sky Glass ging on Low Latency mode

It's a shame. I can live with 60fps but the stutter makes playing FPS awful. Didn't have the Gen1 but I'm loving the Gen2 on the whole as a TV.

@JohnFourty @  Did you see the workaround? Not ideal but let's you game normally

Get the game on you want to play, then switch the TV plug off & back on, once it reboots go straight to the game on the sky menu & it'll run at 60 for you until you turn over or go to the Xbox dashboard as that sends it back to 55. It's a software bug, & fixable, no idea why it's taking so long.

Biggest issue is before they added ALLM, it worked fine without it, but now worry it off it's absolutely horrific & simply a no go.

Re: Sky Glass ging on Low Latency mode

I can confirm that the workaround, unplugging the TV after loading the game and plugging back in, does work.

Reported to Sky and made them aware that it is affecting Gen2 as well. They know about the issue and told me about the workaround that is in this post.

@JohnFourty thanks for ringing, the more the merrier. Crazy they tell you the workaround  as a fix right lol, a workaround I discovered & this community worked out why & what was happening. It was implemented I think in June last year & is still happening.

The company who make the TVs are in Holland & they've been aware since at least October.  Just disappointing tbh

Re: Sky Glass ging on Low Latency mode

Update. If you use the workaround to resolve the 5 sec frame skip, it is possible on the Gen 2 to play competitive games 😁

Re: Sky Glass ging on Low Latency mode

Is there a new picture quality like gaming mode where you can select picture quality like vivid, auto. I have checked for latest updates but nothing comes up

What setting do you have for gaming? I have just bought Assasins Creed Shadows and COD and want the best settings

Re: Sky Glass ging on Low Latency mode

Gotta make a custom mode & tailor it to your liking, every preset choice is rubbish for gaming. For actual TV, you'll wanna choose extra vidid & 'probably' turn off auto backlight adjustnent as it's blinding but you do you 😁

For gaming on series X I use

Contrast 45

Sharpness 0

Video brightness 40

Colour 100

Hue 0

Local dimming OFF

HD mode DARK

Dolby mode DARK

Auto backlight ON

Go to settings, connected devices, hdmi inputs & make sure auto game mode is turned on & always use hdmi 1 or 2 for your console as 3 is for old devices on 2.0, other ones are 2.1 so new gen compatible.

When setting up your custom mode do it when you're on the console,as it keeps 2 profiles, 1 for hdmi & one for TV. If you don't like extra vivid, set your custom TV one to the same as gaming but drop the colour to like 70-75
