Sky Glass Gen 2, sound not always as loud as Gen 1

I'm finding I'm watching programmes generally around the exact same volume or even slightly higher volume than on the Gen 1 and the sound doesn't make me feel as concious about the neighbours below me being able to hear the TV noise later at night than with the Gen 1. Does anyone else with Gen 2 coming from a Gen 1 find this is the case or is it much louder for you? YouTube is about the only exception and one or two programmes via BBC iPlayer for example, but I've not had the TV long to fully test it out. With the TV boasting a richer sound, could it be that the soundscape is more spread out than before so it's still taking me time to adapt? I just assumed it would be on the whole, much louder. Also I'm guessing compression comes into play amongst one app/source to the other which is why YouTube I find is much louder.

Odd .... I've found the sound on my gen 2 to be a lot louder on the same level as my gen 1 - I have the bass boost and enhanced speech turned on

even on the lowest volume setting I can still hear everything clearly
