SKY GLASS AIR 65” WALL MOUNT TIPPING

I have installed my Sky TV Wall mount - 65 inch sky glass air. 

I have got to step 16 and now the black bolts hold the TV up don't push in and twist like the instructions say. The TV is leaning very forward from the top and looks unsafe and doesn't go flush against the wall. With 2 young kids I do not feel comfortable not having this secured. It seems like the TV mount is too thick, so the bolts can't be pushed in and twistedz 

anyone have any advice on what to do??
