Regional BBC channels on sky glass?

I recently got Sky Glass. 

It is a long time since I had Sky + (have lived somewhere I couldn't get a dish for 12 years) but I recall that I was able to watch BBC programmes live from other regions. 

I'm Scottish, and live in London. I'd like to be able to watch BBC1 Scotland (or sometimes even BBC2 Scotland)! 

I understand that these are not on the channel list for Sky Glass and I can't do this. But I wondered if that's something that's still available on Sky+/SkyQ and if anyone knows if it's likely to become available on Sky Glass.

Meanwhile, I have a Chromecast, which works with my Sky Glass, and I use it to watch STV news sometimes (which isn't available live on the STV app), so I can also use it for BBC1 Scotland if need be! But it would be nice if it became available as a channel.

The regional variations of BBC1 and BBC2 are still available on Sky Q. I'm in London and was able to watch a bit of the Hogmanay live stuff on BBC1 Scotland HD the other day, purely to see what my mother was complaining about, not because I actually wanted to watch it! 

I have no idea if they will be made available on Sky Glass though.

@Dawnf1 the only BBC 1 variant you get on Glass is the one mapped to your postcode, so, unlike Sky Q the other regions cannot be received. However the one you do get is in HD rather than SD that most regions on Freeview or over the satellite.

Not correct.I live in West midlands but get BBC NI so it is not regional.

It's called sky glass software engineer's not knowing what they are doing.

The live Stream is set by postal code for your Sky account. 

You can choose which region you get for iPlayer content though... 

iPlayer.... Settings... Other Settings... Change Location 

 

 

Whilst you're there you should turn off Autoplay suggestions or you'll end up with lots of BBC shows appearing in your Playlist that you won't be able to (currently) clear. 

Also you can use the channels option inside iPlayer to watch Scotland, Alba or S4C amongst all the other channels BBC provide.
