Old style coax twin cable to sky glass.

Good morning/afternoon whatever time your seeing this.

After a massive inflation in price, we left sky but decided to continue with the sky glass (sure its because the wife likes the pink)

I want to connect an aerial to the sky glass for freeview.

I still have the twin coax cables from my original sky q box just to the left of the tv with the pictured ends.

Is it possible to use this with some sort of adapter for the sky glass or am I better off getting a new aerial setup?

That cable is for the satellite dish and won't work as a terrestrial aerial.

You would need to installed a proper outdoor aerial and single aerial coax.

Top man thank you, not clued up on aerials or anything of the sort.

Ask me to strip and sort an engine yes anything tv or the likes connected not for me

Your cheaper option and more future proof would be to get an additional streaming service and connect via hdmi like

Once you go coax you will have no on demand smart options as Sky disable this.

I believe this may of changed, as other posts mention being able to do both aslong as a wifi connection is still there.

I may be wrong but by what I've read this was addressed a little while ago.

I believe app access should continue as long as the television is still registered to a Sky account: this doesn't require a content subscription attached to it.

@Gincap In addition to your list I have also seen good reports of the new Thomson Plus 270 streaming puck recently. It is basically the European version of the American ONN Pro.  I know someone who got one at Christmas so I'm keen to see what they say about it.

@Joshb1993 you can of course use the coaxial cables (assuming the old Sky dish is still in place) and connect a Freesat box.

In bedroom, my LG TV has an in built Freesat tuner so use coaxia

Please note... Freesat (not Freeview).

That's what I have done with a Freesat recording box I purchased from Argos

Freesat box gives a great picture but input is slow and remote too cluttered.

If you take this route, open box carefully so you can return it if LNB compatability is an issue and you can't get a picture. Changing the LNB can be a DIY job if Dish is easy and safe to get to.
