Re: My sky glass Tv has stopped connecting to the internet but my router works fine for my laptop
I have one year left on this contract then I am done . I am a VIP client - 34 years with sky as analogue and digital customer.
They send me emails saying thanks for my loyalty. Well it is being tested big time now.
I have fibre connection and I can go to Virgin next year.

Re: My sky glass Tv has stopped connecting to the internet but my router works fine for my laptop
Similar issue with Sky glass randomly dropping out on TV and Pucks. Inerestingly I also have a Samsung TV that used to be connected to nothing but the internet via wifi but will not connect at all since I changed my sky router. This predates sky glass. Phones laptops etc all connect and stay connected no problem. Does the router just not like TVs

Re: My sky glass Tv has stopped connecting to the internet but my router works fine for my laptop
Im having this problem with the 43 inch sky glass air. Most days I turn the tv on to 'no wifi connection'. Turn wifi off in setting and back on and wifi signal reboot makes it connect. Wifi signal now excellent. Very frustrsting and also worrying to see its been happening to old devices and new, so makes me wonder if it's poor quality wifi hardware in the devices.

Re: My sky glass Tv has stopped connecting to the internet but my router works fine for my laptop
I have a gen 2 65" and it looses connection once a week, normally Saturday evening. our WiFi is a fibre 900mb brand new about 3 months old. I just go to the sky settings and restart the TV then it works again for a week or so, pretty **bleep**e really. I'm planning to install a cat 5 cable soon. can't believe they have not worked this out yet dimbos.

To be fair, I have an Ethernet cable connection, it's lost connection with me. Only a couple of times in the last couple of months though. The TV sometimes won't start up. I have to unplug the TV to reboot.

Re: My sky glass Tv has stopped connecting to the internet but my router works fine for my laptop
So this has just started happening to my Sky Glass, happens every evening and the only way I have found to fix it so far is to restart my router first thing in the morning when I get up before the rest of the household awaken.
Im thankfully no longer a Sky customer so not loosing out on services, I am thinking of plugging a firestick in the HDMI port and using this temporary so I can access Netflix and the other channels without the hassle of restarting my router every morning until I can resolve the problem
Has anyone actually found a fix for this?

Unfortunately not. It's an absolute nightmare.

Re: My sky glass Tv has stopped connecting to the internet but my router works fine for my laptop
I have now upgraded to sky fibre (no extra cost), and touch wood, no further problems. All sky channels and all apps work fine, no buffering, no freezing, no loss of Internet connection errors from the same sky glass tv. Looks like my sky glass tv needed a much faster Internet connection, sky fibre now and all working fine. Really disappointed how sky can let me have sky glass tv with an average sky broadband, when I'm sure they must know by now it only works sufficiently with a faster sky fibre connection. 😕

Re: My sky glass Tv has stopped connecting to the internet but my router works fine for my laptop
We have excellent internet with EE. It's one of the fastest. Everything else gets the internet but the pucks and the glass tv. It works after a reset but it's annoying. EE are blaming sky, and sky EE. So frustrating. I'm glad yours is sorted.

There have been reports of issues with EEs standard router and sky devices.
