Compensation for no TV 13 days. .

My sky broadband was down for 13 days in a row. Sky knew about the fault in the area so it wasn't just me who had no Sky broadband. I know I will be compensated for the broadband part. Would I be entitled to some sort of compensation as Sky Glass and Sky stream need a broadband connection to work. The fault was fixed late on boxing day so I missed a lot of Christmas TV(maybe a good thing lol). I don't want to waste my time phoning sky and I'm hoping someone has been in this sort of situation. I have paid for a service that I didn't receive for 13 days. I'm going to phone sky tomorrow and I'm looking for some tip from you lovely people as I'm disabled and honestly don't want to waste my time phoning if I am entitled to nothing. Sorry if I have repeated myself a few times when typing this. Thanks.

Hi @Boybaz73 I'm no lawyer but common sense indicates that the reason for any compensation for the loss of broadband is to cover any disruption and / or inconvenience the outage has caused.  If Sky were to compensate you for the loss of Sky TV you would theoretically be being compensated twice for the same thing (the ISP outage).

I could be wrong so by all means call Sky to see what they say but don't hold your breath.

You can request a goodwill gesture: there's no scheme which specifically covers subscription television.
