Can’t connect sky glass with Ethernet cable

I'm trying to connect with an Ethernet cable as WiFi keeps dropping out. It gets as far as getting up address and then says it can't find it

@Trace647  Try restarting your hub , also make sure your doing a network reset in the Glass TV settings menu.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Try swapping the port you are plugging into on the router 

 

also try a different ethernet cable

I have tried this with no sucess. It never gets past acquiring ip address.

Have you rebooted your router ?

Yes, several times and I have rebooted the glass too

Have you tried a different ethernet cable or a different port on your router ?

Do you get a solution for this . I have the same now, been using Ethernet for 2 years then suddenly this morning it can't find an IP address saying my router isn't giving them out .. all other devices connected Ethernet or WiFi are fine

 

tried :

restarting tv

Power cycling tv

power cycling router

Switching Ethernet ports on router 

factory resetting tv

 

it had a period where it couldn't find WiFi networks either , but a factory reset sorted that , still can't connect via Ethernet however which is better as the WiFi connection is dodgy on glass and pucks

Have you tried switching Wifi off in settings?
