Broken sky glass Tv buy a puck to access my contract ?
My sky glass screen got smashed, I'm not keen on buying another sky glass tv because of how easily the glass smashed it seems like a waste of money.
my contract still has several years to run and I've had a payout from my insurance so I'm wondering what to do with it.... ideally I'd get a tv and still be able to use all the sky features.... the kids really liked the interactive games, I bought the box to go ontop.
if I buy a puck does that come with a new contract ? Or can I use it to access the old one ?
What TV would be better value than sky ? Which I realise is pretty out of date now. Is their one which the kids can still play the sky interactive games on (the ones that track your body)
great full for any help as I need a tv for Christmas !!

When you say that you brought the box for on top of the tv do you mean the camera ? If so the camera doesn't connect to the puck or work on any other tv only the sky glass tv and you will have to finish paying for your sky glass tv that is broken, I am only a fellow customer

Re: Broken sky glass Tv buy a puck to access my contract ?
@Westgate7 You've essentially two options.
The Sky Live camera that is used to play interactive games with body tracking only works with Sky Glass. The camera won't work with Sky the Stream puck/box, nor with any other brand of TV. If it is an absolute must that the body tracked interactive games continue, anther Sky Glass set is the only option.
Sky do sell refurbished Sky Glass sets if you'd rather not pay full price again, which come with the same warranty (although without screen famage cover, as you've already found out). Failing that, try the wel known online auction site. Sky Glass sets do not hold their value when it comes to resale, so you could save quite a bit buying second hand.
Otherwise, you could get any other brand of TV, get a Sky Stream puck and ask Sky to remove your broken Sky Glass set as the primary device amd make the Sky Stream puck your new primary device. You could then watch the same Sky TV subscription content you had on your now broken Sky Glass set.
If you subscribed to a 24 month contract when you bought Sky Glass, this will still continue until the 24 months are up if you get a puck - you shouldn't need to start a new 24 month contract. If you were on the 31 day rolling contract, Sky Stream will be on the same basis. Your original Sky Glass TV set puchase isn't tied in with your Sky TV subscription and vice versa.

@Westgate7 Be mindful that if you go down the puck route and only currently have a single device you will also require the whole home subscription, this is because although the tv broken it's still registered as a device on your account and you can't have more than one device without whole home first
the only way to get around not having whole home is to remove the glass tv completely from your account and just have a single puck whilst still paying off any loan agreement for the tv

If you want to keep the Sky Live camera for use by the kids then the only way to keep using it is with another Sky Glass TV.
Your cheapest option is probably to look and see if anyone local to you is selling one second hand. There are always many Sky Glass TVs on eBay that are often sold for a fraction of their cost price and bargains can be had, particularly if people are desperate to get rid of it. I've seen 55" models go for £200 on there.
