There are six built in speaks in the sky glass tv , I got rid of my soundboard after about a month of having the tv, I have had my tv since November 2021 a month after it first came out on to the market

Given that Sky Glass has a built in soundbar and this is one of the better features of the set, not sure why you would want to attach an external soundbar.

As a minimum it has to be a bar capable of (e)ARC input over HDMI, because a Glass television does not have optical or analogue audio output ports.

The soundbar in the Glass TV is almost as good as my Samsung one so I wouldn't waste any money trying to improve on the one that is built into Glass.

turn on the bass boost in the settings of the glass if you haven't already

a little bit late to join this discussion but i use an lg sound bar as my sky glass 65" bass rattles and is very annoying, i called support and did a couple of things with them but to no joy, so i stick with the sound bar due to no horrible bass rattle , even turning off bass boost does not correct the problem, so even though mentioned that the 6 speakers is one of the good things unfortunately not for me.

You should contact Sky again and insist on a replacement under warranty if you have had it for less than 2 years. You've spent hundreds of pounds on this thing and the speakers should not rattle.

I may just try that when i get more time but for now i'll just use the sound bar

I have the exact same problem with bass rattle which has got considerabley worse now I have wall mounted the TV.
I don't rate the sky glass soundbar at all and my £200 LG one I have on my TV in my bedroom sounds better.
I'm considering getting the Samsung HW-Q990C soundbar to try and get some decent sound.

yep my lg soundbar is better than the sky glass soundbar, only problem i have is due to the glass not having an optical connection i have to use arc and sometimes i have to switch the lg soundbar off and on a couple of times for the glass to recognise it.

I agree. i'm surprised people rate the internal speakers as highly as they do. Yes, i'm probably more of an Audio enthusiast than most others but they do not sound amazing and i definitely have got the 'bass rattle' now too!

The point is the sound on the tv is one of the best on a tv. No one is stating it's as good as a £200 soundbar. I would say it's about on par with the £100 JBL soundbar I used for a few years.
it's certainly a lot better than any built in tv audio I've seen / used

@Jporch316 totally agree, the sound quality of the Sky Glass is far better than pretty much any other TV out there. It was just surprising to see so many people question why someone would want to use a sound bar over the standard speakers.
For Sky's first attempt at this kind of product, i would say it's done very well and i'm interested to see how they improve on it.
