Try to use voice control on new sky stream, keep getting message unable to do that.Any ideas

@mikee70 This problem happens from time to time but whenever I have the same problem I have found a simple reboot of Glass/Stream resolves it. Just switch off at the plug for 30 seconds before switching it back on. It will then take about a minute to reboot.
This has always worked for me but it it does not solve your issue then maybe re-pair the remote.

Voice control is pretty limited on Stream. It's fine for searching for programme titles (when it understands you) but it's not even close to the useability of Alexa or Siri.

Can't understand me half the time - Scottish and the kids hearing me shout at the tv, so they start shouting too.
Wouldn't hold out much hope for the feature. Voice control is a gimmick for tv...

The voice control on sky stream is very poor.

When I ask for Sky news I get the channel in Arabic although I live in the UK.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Quartermain welcome to the forum. Have you tried a reboot of your Glass TV (or Stream)? If not give it a try. Simply Switch it off your puck at the plug socket and wait for a minute before switching it on again. It will take about a minute to reboot.
Hopefully that will resolve the issue 🤞
