"Recording" films that are shown in 2 parts with a quick 2 minute news in between.

Whenever I try to record (or download, or whatever Sky glass does) a film that is shown in 2 parts with a quick 2 minute news show in-between it only records the 1st half? If I try to add the 2nd part it removes it totally from my play list. Is there a way round this?

Hi @Tracyrose

No there isn't a way around this unfortunately. Please see: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Glass-Stream-Live/Sky-Stream-playlist-doesn-t-capture-whole-movie-when-... for more detailed replies.

Apparently Sky are working with the broadcasters to try to resolve.

Ultimately currently the way the broadcasters broadcast the film (I.r like it's two separate shows) is incompatible with Sky Glass/Stream which requires the show to be aired as a continuous film.

The issue is the two parts have the same name🤔

It would be easy to add part 1 and part 2 to the titles🤣

Still don't believe that will work, as the playlist functionality is dereived from Film names, or TV show seasons and episodes, no film is expected to consist of essentially 2 episodes "which is how these broadcasters are treating it" which i gather is the bigger problem with it on the streaming platform.

The broadcaster can create two files with two names🤔
