discovery+ upgrade to watch!
i have contacted sky who told me to contact discovery the problem is my account works on my laptop but not on skys tv or puk device.
so clearly is a sky problem not a discovery. now is this another draw back of sky glass? pay more get less?

When you log in to your account on the web, and go in to billing, does it say "managed by sky"? Also is the subscription showing active in sky market place?
I had an issue recently where it disappeared from marketplace and had to re activate. See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/discovery-plus#:~:text=Once%20you%27ve%20signed%20up,by%20subscrib....
Failing this you would need to speak to Sky again ( we are fellow subscribers here) or you could make a complaint: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint
But I've had it working with out too many issues for over two years, occasionally issues can happen where data is being passed between different parties.

Hi yes it does say both and iv re actived to just to be on the safe side and it still isn't working.

This is where it gets complicated, as the Discovery + app that runs on the Sky Glass is owned, supported and managed by Discovery Plus, so if there is some bugs with it (which it looks like there is if you cant watch via Sky Glass but can on another device with the same credentials), then its the responsbility of discovery plus to identify the cause and perhaps create a new version of the app to fix this bug and provide it to Sky. Unfortunately this is why in situations like this Sky say speak to Discovery, and Discovery customer services hear you say the word Sky, so immediately tell you to go and speak to Sky.
