@confused-24-7 what deal did you get as a new customer?
Cancellation is the best way to get a discount with Sky TV🤔
For BB switching service to a new provider will get a new customer deal😉

So you do need to be prepared to go through with the cancelling rather than just telling Sky you are cancelling in the hope to get a better deal. Indeed some customers get offered deals a few days after the cancellation notice has ended (which by that point you may have found an alternative solution for your services).

The backup when cancelling Sky TV, if you want to retain access to Sky subscription channels is NOW TV😉
No one should expect a discount ... BUT, everyone should have figure in mind that they're willing to pay🤔

the cancellation issue isn't a problem if it's only TV services but when people cancel everything they typically need to get on with finding a replacement for phone and broadband as well which is why playing the cancellation game when you don't really want to cancel can be problematic.

Flexibility is best unless you are willing to entrap yourself?
The BB is supplied by Openreach ... it is only incidentals that vary ... are the incidentals that valuable🤔

A potentially non-transferable phone number and/or an ISP email address can be to some customers, which is why Ofcom is fairly grumpy about inflexibility in these areas.
