@Reevo87 wrote:Been impressed with mine so far, one issue today, voice commands just suddenly stopped working, did a reset by holding power button and removing plug, had to configure device again like i was setting up from scratch, figured just unplugging it and starting again did the trick.
I've got mine over 4 years, what concerns me is what happens when the warranty is up if you get a problem? Seen of someone who has had 2 Gen 2s and has a 3rd one being delivered due to panel issues.
Hey
the following normally works when voice commands fail (saves a master reset )
Switch tv to standby (either with remote, or with button on side of set)
Switch off at plug
Switch on at plug (no waiting necessary)
When red standby light comes on, press Home button on remote.
43inch Gen 1 and 55 inch Gen 2 Sky Glass & sky live camera 3 Pucks. Virgin media M500 on hub 5x. Four sky mobile sims.

The picture and quality is great ,however you can nit record. I know you can find everything on the apps but it was mu h easier for us to record.
We will stick with it and hopefully get used to it. X

@keithspe44 This sounds like you're describing a known problem on Sky Stream and Glass and there's an active discussion about this issue. With that you don't need to restart, you can move up a channel and back down and it should resolve itself until there's an actual fix in place.

Re: You've purchased and received your Sky Glass Gen 2, what are your thoughts on how it performs?
It's got a good clear picture and the colours are spot on.the only down fall is the fact that I have to keep moving the remote or the tv goes off.I am can move it before the tv goes of,my husband cannot get there in time to move the remote so that the tv stays on.Also the remote is a problem for us both it is so hard to open it when the batteries need changing. I don't think that they are disable friendly.I would appreciate it if your designers.could come up with something better maybe a rechargeable remote.

Hi @David2418
were you offered a replacement ? Occasionally items such as televisions do get damaged in transit and I know from experience that sky will send a replacement out at your convenience once notified.

Would the Sky insurance cover it that you pay monthly?

@TheGlasseys I was like you and a bit skeptical about not being able to record. But so far I have not missed recording one bit. Everything I have added to my playlist has been available in some form or another without any agro.

Me and husband love it so far. It is easy to navigate channels and having standard Netflix and Discovery plus is definitely a bonus.
We have the speech enhancement and it sounds clear and crisp. The picture quality is really good and we love the Atlantic blue colour.
