You Tube Kids app not working on Sky Glass

Everything is working except the You Tube Kids app. When selected, we get a spinning circle for a few seconds but then no connection. Have tried resetting the apps etc. We've phoned Skybtwoce now across the last two weeks, each time they've said it's a known issue but have so far not resolved it, and that they're working on it. Just wondered if others have had the same issue, and if there's a known workaround. Thanks.

@Steve2638 you could try unplugging the Sky Glass for 10 minutes. This has resolved some issues with the YouTube app other users have experienced in the last few days, so may also resolve it for Youtube Kids.

Having exact same problem. Everything works except YouTube Kids.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure the guy at Sky was telling me everything, other than they're aware of a 'problem'. I don't see how it can be difficult to fix, suspect there's some sort of dispute behind the scenes.

I am having the same issue, have reset all apps, have reset the box numerous times, advisor said they will send out sky engineer to look. Has anyone fixed this issue yet?

I havent seen a date for Sky Glass but You Tube have confirmed the kids app will be closed and content pulled in to the main app.

Oh I wonder if that's why it isn't working then?

Think that explains it. If I go to the You Tube app and sign in the option is there to select You Tube Kids. A bit annoying as I've passcoded the You Tube app to prevent the kids from watching stuff they shouldn't, will have to find a way around that somehow. Thanks for all the help.

I only started having this problem in mid March, until then YT kids was working. When I go into youtube, there is an option to access the kids profiles on YT kids but like another preson mentioned, I keep youtube locked with a pin to prevent kids watching inappropriate things. I have tried switching the tv off and restarting, I have tried a factory reset, I have tried updating the apps but so far nothing has worked. Sky please sort this out.

@Sk789 YouTube are switching off the YouTube kids app in July anyway for TVs and games consoles. After July it will only be available on Android and iOS phones and tablets.So you will need to use the YouTube app in a couple of months anyway.
