Why no festive background this year?

Looks plain and boring without the annual festive menu background. Any reason why there isn't one this year?

My sentiments entirely! 

Perhaps the dev team have decided to dedicate all their time to making the product function correctly rather than making it look pretty...

I'm actually glad there is No festive background......

 

I'm fed up with Christmas already and will be delighted to get to the New Year.

 

It's all far too commercialised for me.

That'll be a no then! First, they taketh away our festive EPG music and now, not even a sparkly background. Christmas is cancelled at Sky Towers it seems!
