Have sky glass/stream. Masterchef Australia is the programme. Subtitles are available when watching the show at the time it is airing, but not when watching on catch up. Why?? Does anyone have any ideas if I'm missing something obvious?

As an example with iPlayer select the programme you wish to watch and pause it and a subtitles option will appear (next to the info button) in the bottom left of the screen saying "Subtitles on". Select this to turn on subtitles.
Unfortunately it is not consistent throughout the apps and each has it's own method for selecting the subtitles.

This is through sky catch up, the subtitle option is not available. The catch up version does not have the S next to the title, but the "live" version does, and I don't understand why this is the case.

Sky can only upload to on-demand whichever version they have been provided with by the broadcaster.

Find out more@Kittykaze If there is no "s" then for whatever reason the catchup programme does not unfortunately support subtitles but I find in the majority of programmes this is available and pressing the button with the 3 white dots gives you the option to turn it on.

Yep, I know about the three dots, it's sadly not an option through there. Very confusing and annoying but at least I've not missed anything obvious!
