Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Ah484 I have just checked my playlist and FP2 and Qualifying are still missing. However, like you, I have found them by going to the 2nd rail and selecting Sport / F1. It's well worth remembering for the future 😀

Hi All,
Just wondered how things are now saving any of the F1 content to your playlist?
Has it got any better recently as I'm looking at moving from Sky Q to save money.
Thanks

Have a look at post 3 of the following link which is a very good explanation by @Paul+Boland about how best to save to your playlist: F1 on demand

i was thinking of getting sky stream to watch the f1 as I am always working when it is live and now tv is rubbish - the actual race does not appear on catch up
Reading all this I ahve been totally put off! It sounds like an absolute joke, and a right faff with risk of it not working all the time.
F1 should be removed from sky if they cannot make it simple to be able to watch the race on catch up.
Given this I am not going to bother. and try and get virgin with a recoding box. Sky really needs to have a complete re think.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou can watch F1 on demand, its just sometimes it can take a while i.e th next day for it to be available. Whilst the on-demand isn't available you can add the Live broadcast to your playlist and it creates a cloud recording on the live session.
I know this works as i did it myself for the last 2 races of last season. I was able to watch the vegas race and qualifying via the cloud recording, in the UK morning, as the on-demand video wasn't available at that time.

The Formula One Group sold rights to Sky until 2029. They would probably prefer to keep the money.
F1 isn't a protected sport, and cannot be 'removed from sky'.

That may be, but they are doing a poor job making it far too complicated or not possible. On virgin, if I got home 10 mins after the race started I could immediately start watching from the beginning and fast forward it I wanted until it caught up to live. On sky now tv I am lucky if the race even appears the next day! It does not sound like the situation is much better on sky stream or glass. So much for the "home of F1"! it really is woefully poor and I cannot justify the price unless I can watch it, easily, whenever I want to be it 5 mins after it started or 2 hours later.

The watch from start functional also works on Sky Glass/Stream, useful if you want to join a bit late so you can fast forward through ads or bits you don't want to watch.
Not really sure what the complaints are about, as i've said watch from start and cloud recording both work on the Live F1 broadcasts on the sky streaming platform. Yes the delay in on-demand may be a bit of a pain, but from what i can tell thats normal for most of the sporting content, with it being available several hours later or next day via Sky's on-demand platform.
