Why can't I watch F1 on demand ? With sky glass

I love F1 but with sky glass I can't watch the full race when I want if I have missed it live, why is this ?

For the the future if you add F1 to the playlist via the TV Guide > going to 406 and then pressing the red + button it will actually cloud record and be available for you. 

Yesterdays race is available in sports > F1 but there is possibility of spoliers while finding it.

Did you not add to playlist from TV Guide  Channel 406 before live broadcast started

As in add to playlist before Friday first practice 1 live broadcast started or add to playlist before live broadcast of qualifying started on Saturday or before Sunday live broadcast startred

To make sure a recording happens of a live broadcast add to playlist before a live broadcast starts from channel listed in TV guide EPG  then it will record all live broadcast episodes of Formula 1 from then

Then goto playlist you will see a tile Live:Formula 1 

If you want to record live broadcasts in regards to Sky Glass or Sky Stream Puck

Always add to playlist from TV Guide before live broadcast starts

For Formula 1 on demand as content that is not live broadcasts

You can also add to playlist from TV guide or click Formula 1 add to playlist

As in add a series link for repeat broadcasts

You will then see a tile in playlist listed as Formula 1

You will see Series 9 Series 8 Other

Click other for 2023 on demand

Wait a few seconds for it to load 

Note the differences

Live:Formula 1 Tile is for recording live broadcasts

Formula 1 title is on demand

Hate to say it but this does not work on sky stream. Added to my playlist before GP weekend. On Sunday morning all practices and and Qualifying was available which I managed to watch live anyway. Could not catch GP live yesterday so tried to access from playlist today. The only thing now available is the highlights and upcoming repeats. Can't get dish so unfortunately it's back to virgin just to get the recording facility back.

You not using playlist correctly

If you added from TV Guide before a live race broascast started you will have in Playlist 

Live:Formula 1 

The other Formula 1 Playlist is for repeat broadcasts not live race broadcasts

It will vary as to when will show up in playlist as these are not live race broadcasts

Scroll to other with remote control wait fot it to load content it can take a few seconds 

You will then see the listing of repeat broadcasts that was recorded of Formula 1 2023 and other years repeat broadcasts

Live: Formula 1 and Formula 1 are not the same  they are different playlists

Live: Formula 1 Playlist is for recording of live race broadcasts only

As in you added from TV Guide 406 where is listed Live in TV Guide listings description for that race

Always make sure you added to playlist from TV Guide before Live race has started

Once you do this all other future live race broadcasts will show up in playlist listed as Live: Formula 1

If you added from TV Guide for repeat broadcasts as in not live race broadcasts that will show up in the Formula 1 tab in Playlist 

Once you do this all other future repeat broadcasts will show up in playlist listed as Formula 1

Do you have a subscription to The Ultra HDR & Atmos pack and also a subscription to Sky Sports

Did you add to playlist from TV Guide Channel 406 SkySpF1 UHD 

If you have The Ultra HDR & Atmos pack

Sky Sports F1 Channel

406 is UHD

903 is HD 

If you have subscribed to The Ultra HDR & Atmos pack

Also make sure in settings 

Picture and Sound

Default streaming format is set to UHD 

Make sure you set to UHD before you add to playlist from TV Guide 

If you don't have a subscription to The Ultra HDR & Atmos pack  you will only get HD in regards to Sky Sports/BT Sports/Sky Movies and any other Sky Channels that has UHD content

I have subscribed to the UHD, Atmos and sky sports package. I added to the playlist from the TV guide well before the live broadcast. On Sunday morning all practices and qualifying was there to watch so I was confident I would be able to watch the race from the playlist. That's all disappeared. If I go to the "option" in the playlist it only shows only show the highlights from channel 4 as an option to select to watch.

If you added to playlist from TV Guide for a repeat broadcast  from Channel 406

You will have in  Playlist a tab saying Formula 1

This is for repeat broadcasts only 

Series 2023 at the moment lists Race Highlights

Series 9 is Channel 4

Other will have listing of repeat broadcasts

With remote contonl scroll to other wait around 10 or more seconds for content to show up and you will then see listings of repeat broacasts

IF you added to playlist from TV Guide before a live race had started

You will have in Playlist a Tab listed as  Live: Formula 1

Did you add from TV Guide for live or repeat broadcasts

If it was a live broadcast it would list live in TV Guide 

Example Live: Formula 1 Practice would be listed in TV Guide 

A repeat broadcast of Formula 1 Practice in TV Guide would not have Live: listed

Ok, thanks for the help everyone. Whatever I did I must have done wrong. Just did a search for live formula 1 and added that to playlist and now everything is there. Thought I had done it correctly by just going to the live broadcast in the tv schedule, hitting the plus button and adding series. Anyhow, thanks for bearing with me and helping me out. Seems to be sorted so much appreciated 👍🏻

Having 'Live: Formula 1' and 'Formula 1' Playlists works well as described, but it only seems to pick up practice, qualifying, pre-race show, the race and the chequered flag show. I would like to also view F1 show, Teds notebook and other content on this chanel. I have tried adding the F1 show and Teds notebook from the chanel listing and adding an additional playlist for these but nothing is 'recorded' or available as catchup - any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

Well here we ago again, just sat down to watch F1 FP1 and FP2 that aired earlier today  and they are not in the playlist. I know I've done it right this time because practice sessions from earlier in the season  are in my playlist and the latest thing showing is the Miami GO. I'm so sick of this hit and miss with the sport and the playlist. As others have said Teds note book never shows up no matter if I add it from UHD, live formula 1. Search etc. I work on a Friday so I can't catch practice sessions in the day   . Am I the only one having these issue. I'm pretty savvy when it comes to tech but this is a joke.

@Ah484 Yes, there quite a few people complaining about the same thing. Mid afternoon I went to watch and FP1 was not there but FP2 was so I started to watch it but then had to go out.  When I got back home FP2 had also disappeared ☹️.

SO far this season the F1 coverage of all the previous races had been almost perfect so I don't know what has gone wrong with Monaco.

I have taken the precaution of adding the C4 highlights for Qualification and the actual race into my Playlist in the hope that I get at least one of them if I can't watch it live.

Thanks for your reply. It's not good enough and not as advertised, it's 23:24 now just sat down to watch Qualifying for Canadian Grandprix. . Been looking forward to this all day and once again it's not it's not there. I'm calling them tomorrow to cancel as they have misold the service. I was told if I add a programe thats not available on demand it gets recorded to the cloud so I won't miss anything. We are paying a premium for this service. I'm in fact paying more than my father in law that has the exact package but on sky Q. Local recording no issue. I have no choice other to return to Virgin Media with inferior picture quality because I'd rather deal with that than keep missing sporting events I added to my playlist in the correct way. I'll be sure to let you know what they say when I tell them they are deliberately misleading customers through false advertising and in the UK this is illegal. I'm also going to inform ofcom and post my email and response here.
