Any news on this? This is now happening to me as well.. it won't load HDMI2 which is the Xbox S. it says 'connecting to HDMI2' for about a second then takes me back to the Home Screen.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSeems to be a few of these posts now - I have escalated the issue - could be related to the recent qs018 update

Thanks @Jporch316. Changing the HDMI cable seems to have fixed it for me. But weird it just suddenly stopped working, it's not like it's an old cable. As you say maybe update related.

Are Sky monitoring this forum? Is there a solution to this issue?

I had this same issue start yesterday, selecting either the xbox in HDMI 1 or Roku in HDMI 2 returned straight back to the Home screen. Unplugging the power and plugging back in had no effect. Issue was still there this morning so I unplugged.both HDMI cables at the back of the Glass TV and connected the xbox to HDMI 2 and it could then be selected. Connected both cables back in the original positions and now both can be selected with no issues.

My nephew called me last night (I gave him my Glass TV for his uni mates) to say that he has trouble loading their PS5 in HDMI 1 the TV says connecting but returns to the main menu.
I told him reboot everything it then connected but after 10 mins or so the TV would close the HDMI and return to the main menu. This happened constantly so they gave up using it eventually.
So this NOT smarter than a smart TV rubbish can't now even operate an HDMI connection in a dumb monitor state!
Reading the above seems yet another software glitches to be added to all the others. Every single firmware release brings out new problems.
So what's the fix Sky or are you still scratching your heads? Pathetic piece of junk, I though it would work as a dumb terminal at least!
So the dumber than the dumbest TV is to be consigned to the skip off to buy him something decent today.

Spoke too soon, not working again this morning. Also getting the apps closing and returning to Home Screen like others have mentioned on different threads.
@KevNewMedia Is this being looked into? As it does seem to be since the latest update.

So I have an update for those suffering this glitch.
I mentioned I done a full reset, after 3 days everything is still working, no faults or glitches. Well other than the TV turning on when I moved the remote yesterday???
Personally anyone who has this issue, skip the steps from sky and just do a full reset and take the hit of having to sign into everything again.
Settings - system management - resets & updates - factory reset.
The steps sky give you, only provide a temporary solution before the issues come back a day or so later.

It's not just @Minuscloud sadly this appears to be yet another epidemic problem following firmware 18 release. Factory resets should not be happening now.
IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
Don't put up with this users 18 months in and it's like day one every monthly release 🤬

UPDATE
So, I'm not putting up with this and have called Sky this morning, helpful guy as always. He actually confirmed he has the same issue with his glass and Xbox. He agreed HDMI connectivity issues are just mind boggling.
We have started steps to return the TV, I have had it around 10 months or so. I was told I will receive a call Monday to go through next steps for return.
So I'll collect from nephew later and that's hopefully the end of my Sky experience.

Just to update you all I've found a work around for the time being where I turn on both my Xbox and my switch and the tv recognises one of them then the rest work but I've been waiting for a call back from sky as they don't seem to know how to resolve the issue

Sky agreed full refund, no costs, no objections. TV being collected Tuesday.
I was 11 months in so..........
Anyway happy bunny. I explained not the TV at fault it is the software.

I'm not getting the above issues some customers been mentioning the past few days
All 3 HDMI inputs work perfectly on my 65 inch Sky Glass
I have the following connected to my Sky Glass
HDMI 1 (Sony 4K UHD Player)
HDMI 2 (Onkyo 4K AV Receiver with multiple HDMI devices connected to the AV receiver)
HDMI 3 (Chromecast with Goggle TV 4K)
I wonder is it a issue with some game consoles to explain why only some customers having HDMI connection problem
I don't have any game consoles connected to my Sky Glass
Going by the posts in this thread all that are having HDMI issue have mentioned they have game consoles Xbox or PS5 connected to their HDMI inputs on Sky Glass
