Wall bracket

Our wall bracket was broken when we received our sky glass tv. Is there anywhere I can buy a new one? Don't think a standard bracket would work as the glass TV's are so heavy.

Hi @Atkins84

Was this a gen 2 Sky glass? If so as you have paid for it, it should be covered by warranty. I would call Sky and obtain a replacement.

But for Gen 1 & 2 they are VESA compliant so any VESA mount will work with them, but as you indicate you have to make sure they are rated for the weight.

Re: Wall bracket

I have no idea which one it is. It won't tell me on my app for some reason lol. It wasn't one of the new ones. I think I've had it for maybe a year or so.

Hi @Atkins84

It's a gen 1 then as gen 2 was only released a few weeks ago. Standard VESA mount will work as per above.

Difficult to understand how the Gen 1 wall bracket can be 'broken' : it's a single stamped metal plate which is also a fundamental component of the tabletop stand.

Re: Wall bracket

It had a crack going right through it.

I can only imagine that's an extreme manufacturing defect, in which case Sky should  be prepared to replace it.
