Volume goes to maximum

Volume automatically jumps to 100%. Tried resetting remote, paired a second controller used on the sky puck and issue still happens, hard reset tv, still the same. Disconnect batteries from controller, turn tv on at the button and the volume automatically jumps to maximum so I can rule out its an issue with the controller. Any ideas?

How old is the TV? If you've had it less than 2 years and it's still in warranty then give Sky a ring for further troubleshooting and potential replacement.

If you're outside the warranty period then there's not a lot you can do. Do you have Sky Protect device insurance which covers your Glass TV?

Re: Volume goes to maximum

This is a 'feature' of these TVs. It's irrelevant the age of the Glass, mine does it from time to time, one of the many annoyances with these devices. A quick power-cycle seems to rectify it.

Re: Volume goes to maximum

The TV is 2 and half years old so it's not covered under warranty, disappointing really that sky only offer a short warranty, they must know the product is inferior. Won't be purchasing another one that's for sure.

Unfortunately Sky Glass is churned out to the mass market hence being "inferior" people would be far better off buying a normal smart TV and getting pucks. For the price you pay for Sky Glass, you will get a higher quality TV for the same price.

@Dazzasky  I couldn't agree more.  I took advangtage of the 2023 Black friday specials and purchased a Samsung TV and soundbar, sold my Glass TV and replaced it with a stream puck.  Both the picture and sound are much better than Glass and I have never regretted this decision.

Also the Samsung comes with a free 5 year warranty as opposed to the short Glass 2 year warranty.
