Using Sky Glass Overseas - incorrect remote

We have relocated to Spain and have taken our Sky Glass with us  (have already cancelled Sky services as not available here!), however the remote control accesses all Sky products and even though we have a TV service now here (to watch UK tv etc) it cannot be accessed!! How/which remote do we need instead? And how to get one?!! Thanks in advance

There's a single alternative remote model which Sky despatches to Glass owners who no longer have a content subscription but retain a Sky account: this would be sent to the last registered account address some considerable time after the subscription ceases, and I seriously doubt they are going to ship it overseas (where by definition there cannot be a Sky UK account)

I guess it's vaguely possible that some of these units have leaked online or hit the legitimate secondhand market: you'd be looking for the one with the dedicated YouTube and Netflix buttons.

Perhaps also note that this remote is only intended to control the on-set services (digital terrestrial television tuner and onboard apps) rather than any external devices other than a soundbar.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Why did you take your Glass TV with you, which is pretty useless in Spain? It would've been easier to just buy a new tv locally.

Thanks all!

To sum up, the Sky Glass was paid for and we were told it will work in other countries, hence sending here with all our other stuff.

We have a Spanish package - broadband\sim\UK and Spanish TV channels combined (which we requested as wish to continue with intermediate Spanish and TV is a great way to revise!) so just need to access via router to TV (which is already steaming YouTube and other free -but old school - channels.

Bizarrely enough, our postman made this delivery today.......image to follow!......sent to us by the new owners of our old UK property, how thoughtful!!

Are you just watching  normal  tv or sky tv as well, if it's  the second  then you will  need  ether  now tv connected to  the  the tv, or a satellite dish and a sky box, sky glass  has not been  launched  in Spain yet  nor sky stream
