Unable to skip ads

I'm paying for ad skipping (or rather, it's included free in my sub), so why can't I fast forward through them, for example on the genesis documentary I playlisted last night?

Hi @Ed.B.

Did it come up with a message or just ignore the fast forward request?

Thanks,

Tim

Re: Unable to skip ads

It had no option to pause, rewind or forward at all.

I went back in later and it worked ok.

But I've been having a lot of issues lately. Trying to wind the golf forward or back it can take ten seconds or more before acting.

Is there a way to clear the ram, perhaps?

Therein lies the problem... it doesn't have a sufficient amount to begin with.

Hi @Ed.B.

I've seen a few posts over past few days about pause / rewind so they might be linked. I've experienced problems like that with watch from start this weekend where there a delay in responding.

Only way to clear RAM is good old off and on again.
If you keep noticing it please do contact Sky to get it logged

Thanks,

Tim

@Ed.B. I had something similar earlier today whilst watching last nights BRITS awards on ITVX. Like you the pause, FF & RW buttons would not work on the remote.

After a while I gave up and watched something else.  Later I went back to ITVX and the BRITS played perfectly and the remote worked as normal. I imagined it was a problem with ITVX but on seeing your post I will keep an eye on it to see.

Re: Unable to skip ads

It's just crashed. I pressed 'watch from start' on the golf, wound forwards a couple of hours. It played for ten minutes, then went black screen and is stuck with 'please wait for your programme to load'.

It did this last week when I tried to watch a 'recording' of the golf.

I don't think I've had a software update lately - I'm on 13.007.02P

Hey @Ed.B.

I've had that experience with watch from start all weekend, the cricket was a right pain.

Your software isn't the latest but Sky are currently rolling back the QS014 version.

QS013.503.00P is the current version.  https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-software-updates

I just tried to watch Netflix. It opened the app but none of the remote buttons would function apart from home.

Useless pos...

Re: Unable to skip ads

I've got this problem, it's so frustrating, plus when you do start to fast forward it stops and goes back a few minutes
