Trying to cast or mirror from my phone to the glass tv

Can someone tell me if its possible to cast from my phone to my glass tv?

That's not possible.

The YouTube app on Glass can accept URLs from a YouTube app on a mobile device, but otherwise it's necessary to attach external hardware over HDMI, such as a Chromecast, Firestick, Roku or Apple TV box.

Why is this? Can I plug my phone into the TV and maybe it'll work that way?

Sky didn't see fit to specify that functionality.

If your phone is capable of HDMI output then it might be viable with the correct cable.

I have samsung galaxy s23 ultra which I can connect to my Glass TV using an HDMI Cable, the phone's DEX function and a Bluetooth mouse.

Probably a lot of work but yes I can connect my phone to the Glass TV

@Clairebear2271 As already mentioned by @TimmyBGood there is no casting/mirroring option for Sky glass which I find disappointing as I used mirroring quite a lot before getting Glass.  You can however mirror/cast through a 3rd party device like an Apple TV or Firestick for example.

EDIT - apologies, I see the above has already been suggested. I'll give myself a smack on the wrist for not reading the other posts in more depth.

DEX is a Samsung connection found in Settings Connected Devices and is a tool that let's use an external monitor for your phone

Please note that I'm using an Android 13 on my phone

According to the developer page on Samsung I found the following having used the search term ---

Mobile devices supported on Samsung DeX:

• Smartphones: DeX is available on Galaxy S9, S10, S20, S21, S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra.
• Tablets: DeX is available on Galaxy Tab S4, S5e, S6, S7, and S8 series tablets

@Agsy Unfortunately you can't cast/mirror direct to the Glass TV. It is a feature that was not included in the original design.  If you have a 3rd party device such as an Apple TV,  Roku or something similar you can cast through that device.  I now have a stream puck but I used to cast to Glass through my Apple TV.

Sorry are you saying you're able to cast your phone directly to the tv wirelessly? I have an S24 and cannot connect that to my glass only way I've thought to try is a wired connection via a hdmi to usb c adaptor.

Perhaps you're doing that?
