The screen appears squashed

The apps have stopped working correctly.  BBC, itx, 4, 5. There is now an area of black at the top and bottom of the screen and the actual picture is distorted.  This isn't a TV setting as have tried different screen settings. It's when using those apps or 'continue watching ' button. Incidentally,  Sky programs are fine and also if you go on BBC player through a PS 5 it works OK too. Can I have some advice please.

Try turning the TV off at the wall for 10 minutes then power it back on. This gives it a full reboot which can often solve glitches.

The other thing to try is an app refresh from the settings menu. This takes a while and is best done overnight but you can still use the TV while it does it.

Re: The screen appears squashed

Unfortunately refreshing the apps doesn't do anything. And turning off the TV doesn't make any difference either. As I say, the apps available on the PS5 are fine which suggests that there is a problem with the Sky box somewhere. The only channels that work correctly via the Sky box are the Sky ones. I'm reliant on both the Sky box and the PS5 for the channels as an ordinary aerial signal is non existant.

Is there a number I can ring for direct technical support or to report a fault?

You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number. If you are in the ROI on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Sky Glass is a TV with the Sky streaming service built in. It does not require a box.
