Terrestrial aerial

My Glass 2 is up and running, but I want to set it up for terrestrial aerial just in case....hehe.

The only reference I can find is in the initial set up to search for digital signals, there does not appear a way to be able to do it after setup .

Hi @BigAl29

You access it via the TV Aerial input app:

See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-input-app-on-sky-glass

If you wish to rescan, you do it by pressing the right button on the remote and going back through the scan process.

@BigAl29

I only recently noticed the aerial app, after an upgrade. I selected it and was guided through the process to scan the various channels. I was surprised that you can now select the Freeview channels while still be connected via WiFi or Ethernet.

It's a new feature that was recently enabled on glass only (not stream)

Re: Terrestrial aerial

When do you press the right button, and on which screen, as I've tried this and it is not working

Re: Terrestrial aerial

@Big+Stu+1970 Think it's this aerial icon in the app rail:

Re: Terrestrial aerial

The problem is I had to unplug the Ariel to move TV and when I've plugged it back in, I go to the Ariel icon and or just stuck, there does not seem to be a setting to go to to retune / rescan to get the terrestrial channels

Hi @Big+Stu+1970

In the TV Aerial app press right > settings > channel setup.

This performs a rescan.

Re: Terrestrial aerial

Hi - I have a first gen Sky Glass TV but do not subscribe to Sky anymore, so am using it as a Smart TV.  Yesterday on the aerial app I was able to access the terrestrial channels in HD.  Today, these are no longer available on the TV guide (they seem to have been removed - channels 101, 102, 103, 104 etc, so BB1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4 etc).  The non-HD versions are still available.  I have tried the re-tune, but no change and these channels are still missing.  Is this a deliberat move on the part Sky?  It feels vindictive, if so, and anti-competetive or am I missing something?

Grateful for any advice!

Hi @Peter284

It isikely that the tuner in the TV can't find the channels anymore. This can happen in periods of high pressure weather and Freeview often issue do not retune advice during high pressure weather.

HD channels are there in my aerial app. You may need to try again or check your aerial connection.
